this place is truly the best. i was in edinburgh for two months and unfortunately had a very poor track record with chipping my two front teeth, and they handled my issues with such precision and care. everyone who works there is amazing, you walk in and immediately feel comfortable and they work incredibly hard in order to fit you in as soon as possible and meet whatever needs you have. i wanted to specifically say a huge thank you to dr. amir!!!! not only is he incredibly talented at what he does, but he reassured any panic i had surrounding my teeth/bonding and produced such an amazing product. i truly truly do not know what i would’ve done if i didn’t go to city dental. thank you all so much for everything and thank you dr amir for being the best at what you do !

In pain? How to get an emergency appointment
We keep same-day emergency appointments. Call 0131 228 2442 as early in the day as you can and we’ll do our best to see you the same day.
Private emergency appointment
£85, including a prescription if needed, and a simple extraction if one can be done in the same appointment.
Open to anyone, registered with us or not. Book online or call us.
NHS emergency appointment
For patients registered with us. NHS emergency appointments can’t be booked online: call us and reception will do their best to see you the same day.
NHS Scotland classes the visit as “unscheduled care”. The patient charge is £17.32 for the visit itself (fee scale from 1 November 2025), with any X-rays or treatment charged on top at NHS rates. There’s no charge for under-26s or patients exempt from NHS charges.
Opening hours: Monday to Thursday 8.30am–8pm, Friday 8.30am–5pm. Closed Saturday and Sunday.
